Unanet Technologies, a developer of services automation software that helps organizations manage people and projects for improved profitability, has announced the latest version of its integration with Microsoft Dynamics SL. The new version provides comprehensive integration between Unanet's market-leading Professional Services Automation solution and Microsoft Dynamics SL financial management system.

Version 2.2 extends the integration between Microsoft Dynamics SL and Unanet and includes the following enhancements:

(1)    Resource requesting to support long term project staffing.
(2)    Additional functionality for matrix organizations to provide the control they need in managing the planning and commitment of their people to projects.
(3)    Control over how retroactive changes to pay rates impact or adjust extracted timesheet data.
(4)    Customers can choose to use Unanet’s flexible multi-level groups and processes for approval of timesheets and expense vouchers.
(5)    Support for changes in SL data definitions between recent versions.

Unanet's solution provides initial opportunity planning and resource forecasting, through detailed budget planning and staff scheduling, time and expense capture, and real-time reporting. Microsoft Dynamics SL is a project and financial accounting solution specialized to help organizations obtain revenue recognition, invoicing, financial reports and business analysis, while helping increase efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

A natural fit to Unanet's extensive Professional Services Automation software, the integration with Microsoft Dynamics SL empowers organizations to view project profitability, revenue, expenses and financials in one place, giving management greater visibility into project and workforce performance. The integration ensures a single point of entry for data on projects and people with no duplication of effort, with automatic replication between Unanet and MS Dynamics SL to ensure data integrity between the systems.

Fran Craig, Unanet Technologies President and CEO, commented, ”Unanet adds value to Microsoft Dynamics SL in four major areas: best in class time and expense tracking; opportunity planning and forecasting; real-time project management with dashboards; and resource scheduling/planning and forecasting by availability and skills.” She added “Project based organizations ranging from government contractors, commercial consulting and not-for-profits are benefiting from the combined power of Unanet and Microsoft Dynamics SL to improve utilization, increase profitability and streamline business processes”.

Plumbline Solutions, a Microsoft Dynamics Gold Certified Partner and the developer of Microsoft Dynamics SL, highlighted Unanet’s strengths as a “best of breed” project management and reporting solution which extends and adds value to Microsoft Dynamics financial software in their monthly newsletter.
