Because many companies cannot decipher who within their organization are responsible for ensuring compliance with the various state unclaimed property laws, Tax Professionals’ Resource will be offering a live webinar titled “Recent Developments in the World of Unclaimed Property Compliance” on Thursday, October 11th from 1:00-2:30 p.m. EST.

This tax compliance webinar is critical for companies who are unfamiliar with the various state unclaimed property laws and struggle with how best to implement sufficient internal controls and reporting procedures. Speaking on this topic will be Valerie M. Jundt, Cornel Lupu and Ann T. Moore, all from Keane Consulting & Advisory Services.

Valerie M. Jundt provides more than 28 years of diverse and extensive unclaimed property experience and works extensively with clients from all industries and various states in resolving compliance issues arising from state audits, voluntary compliance initiatives, enforcement actions and law changes.

Cornel Lupu specializes in unclaimed property audits, internal audits, Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 and 302 compliance and financial reporting. Due to his involvement in managing numerous general ledger conversions Mr. Lupu has expertise in knowledge over the functionality of insurance related general ledger accounts.

Ann T. Moore, CPA, has been with the Pennsylvania Department of Treasury for more than 5 years and is currently the Pennsylvania audit manager and oversees the completion of unclaimed property audits responsible for adherence to recent SAS proclamations and updating the audit program to reflect current auditing practices.
