Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) September 14, 2012
Urban bike company Brooklyn Cruiser today announced that cycling industry veteran Grant Petersen has joined the company’s board of advisors. Petersen is a bicycle designer and the founder of Rivendell Bicycle Works. He previously served as U.S. marketing director for Bridgestone Cycle where he designed the XO series of bicycles.
Petersen, who recently released the acclaimed book "Just Ride," is well known in the cycling industry for preferring tradition, comfort and durability over complicated design. Brooklyn Cruiser worked with Petersen to tweak the company’s Driggs and Willow models to include multiple frame sizes. The new model will be introduced at Interbike in Las Vegas on September 19-21. Brooklyn Cruiser plans to continue to tap Petersen for his extensive design experience as they continue to expand their line-up.
“We are beyond thrilled to have Grant sharing his wisdom,” said founder Ryan Zagata. “His contributions to our team have been invaluable and we’re looking forward to his continued guidance well into the future,” he added.
In addition to Petersen, Brooklyn Cruiser’s current board of advisors includes hotelier Sean MacPherson, owner of New York hotels The Maritime, Bowery and The Jane as well as Vincent Salvagni, former partner at Syracuse accounting firm Dermody, Burke & Brown and current CFO of Sun Chevrolet & Auto Warehouse.
