A new international Web portal, http://www.EquipmentAlley.com, is bringing live bidding to the used agricultural and construction equipment industries. Equipment Alley is a centralized source to find, buy, list and sell used agricultural and construction equipment that goes beyond the borders of nations and brands.
According to Brett Law, Director of Asset Remarketing at CNH Capital, EquipmentAlley.com is an important step forward for both buyers and sellers of used equipment. "It's the live bidding, a versatile search engine and a user-friendly interface that make EquipmentAlley.com unique," he says. "And other features such as language translation, payment calculators and currency exchange that help make this a truly global marketplace."
The site is open to the general public to view all equipment listings and to equipment dealers and distributors for on-line bidding and buying. As site capabilities are added, the general public will also have the opportunity for real-time online bidding. Used equipment from most manufacturers is available in one place, with an industry-leading search engine. EquipmentAlley.com lists agricultural equipment, construction equipment, commercial lawn and garden equipment, commercial vehicles, commercial trailers, back lot equipment and parts and accessories. Law calls it the industry's most comprehensive clearing house for used machinery.
"We've tried to make sure that Web visitors can find everything they might need at a single Web site," Law explains. "Our users can browse through categories and look at photos and condition reports of the equipment for sale, all while keeping track of what comparable equipment is selling for. And because EquipmentAlley.com is sponsored by CNH Capital, we can go that extra mile, offering online credit application and financing options."
Support for buyers and sellers is available online at EquipmentAlley.com or by phone at 800-930-6591. CNH Capital's asset remarketing staff also offers pricing, transportation and import/export services.
Using the site is simple and intuitive. Visitors can click on "Hot! Closing Soon" to browse auction listings that will close within three days. "New Listings" displays equipment posted to the site over the past 24 hours. "Category Watch" will search for equipment using buyer criteria and automatically e-mail the results. Use of the site is subject to the Terms and Conditions found at the site.
"The way we've designed it, users can search and purchase equipment outright or participate in live bidding," says Brett Law. "Equipment Alley will help equipment sellers by linking together buyers and sellers anywhere we do business through one simple, user-friendly Web portal."
