The Utah Honda Dealers Association announces October’s top selling vehicles. The rollout of the 2011 Honda line of vehicles combined with the 2010 Model Year-End sales event has combined to increase Honda sales over last year. The increase of 20.2% amounted to a total of 87,800 units being sold this year.
The Honda Accord stole the show selling 23,344 units bringing the Accord sales up 8.8% over 2009 sales. The Accord has won Car and Driver’s 10Best trophy 24 times. The Accord is not only a reliable vehicle with superior safety features, but achieves 34 mpg on the highway and 23 mpg in the city. The body of the 2011 has been refined. “It’s no surprise that we chose the Honda Accord Sedan as our featured vehicle for November,” says Ron Henson of Utah Honda Dealers. “This car performs. The Accord handles well and combines intuitive controls with reliability and all around good looks.”
Not to be outdone, the CR-V sold 18,040 units increasing sales by 19.4% over last year. The CR-V is the sporty crossover hybrid that’s designed to be a fun ride, but still have all the features that allow for increased fuel economy. With options for econ, normal and sport, the driver can choose a driving style to fit their environment and their mood. The CR-V is the only hybrid with a six speed transmission.
The 2011 Odyssey garnered significant attention during its first full month on the market. Sales of the Odyssey jumped 52.2% over last year, brining total sales for the month up to 9,955. The Odyssey is Honda’s upscale mini-van that looks and feels like an SUV.
“Representing a company that is so forward thinking with regards to style, performance and environment is a privilege we enjoy at Utah Honda Dealers,” says Henson. “Our buyers come to us because of our reputation for service and customer satisfaction combine with Honda’s reputation for cars that can be trusted.”
