Gulfport, MS (PRWEB) September 25, 2012
Travelers seeking vacation deals this fall can get more bang for their buck on the Mississippi Gulf Coast courtesy of a new “The Coast is Clear” special. Book a two-night stay at one of 19 participating hotels, condos, or bed and breakfast properties and get a third night free. Rates start as low as $65 per night. The Coast is Clear promotion is available into December, with some offers available into 2013.
“The Mississippi Gulf Coast is a very attractive and affordable destination for fall getaways,” says Kim Fritz, chairman of the marketing committee for the Gulf Coast Regional Tourism Partnership, which developed the promotion along with the Mississippi Hotel & Lodging Association. “The Coast is Clear promotion is to let people know that Hurricane Isaac did not impact Gulf Coast vacation options here. All hotels and casinos are open, and the charter boats are reporting excellent fishing!”
Fritz adds that the Mississippi Gulf Coast offers multiple vacation choices all wrapped up in one destination—golf, casino gaming, spa, beaches, outdoor recreation, nature, deep sea fishing, arts and museums, festivals and more.
“There are more than 60 festivals and special events here from October through December alone,” says Fritz. “Those are in addition to our everyday offering of 18 golf courses, 12 casinos, multiple kayak outfitters and guided river tours, more than 85 charter fishing options and multiple museums.”
The Mississippi Gulf Coast was recently named one of 20 Amazing American Beaches by USA Today and Best Casino/Gaming Destination and Best Fishing Weekend by AAA Southern Traveler in their Best of the South 2012 awards.
A complete list of participating properties is available at http://www.visitmscoast.org/the-coast-is-clear, along with booking codes. Some blackout dates and restrictions apply. Reservations can be made by calling the individual properties, with several properties allowing reservations through the Mississippi Hotel & Lodging Association’s reservations line at 1-888-388-1006.
