Tens of thousands of transvaginal mesh lawsuits http://www.transvaginalmeshlawsuithelp.com/) continue to move forward in multidistrict litigations now underway in U.S. District Court, Southern District of West Virginia, Bernstein Liebhard LLP reports. On February 18, 2014, the Court issued a Show Cause Order regarding a Motion filed by the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committees requesting that a Lien Resolution Administrator be appointed for all of the vaginal mesh litigations pending in the jurisdiction, including those involving American Medical Systems, Inc. (MDL No. 2325), Boston Scientific Corp. (MDL No. 2326), C.R. Bard, Inc. (MDL No. 2187) and Ethicon, Inc. (MDL No. 2327). The Order further directed that any objections to the Motion were to be filed with the Court by February 24th, and that those parties appear before the Court on February 27th to show cause as to why the Motion should not be granted.

Our Firm is pleased to see these proceedings moving forward,” says Bernstein Liebhard LLP, a nationwide law firm representing victims of defective drugs and medical devices. The Firm continues to offer free legal evaluations to women who allegedly suffered mesh erosion, pain, scarring, infection and other serious injuries following the implantation of pelvic mesh to treat pelvic organ prolapse or stress urinary incontinence.
Vaginal Mesh Lawsuits
According to court documents, more than 40,000 transvaginal mesh lawsuits are now pending in the federal multidistrict litigations underway in the Southern District of West Virginia. Jeffrey S. In addition to his work on the federal vaginal mesh litigations, Mr. Grand is serving as Co-Liaison Counsel in a Multicounty Litigation underway in New Jersey’s Atlantic Superior Court involving Ethicon mesh products. He was also a member of the Plaintiff’s trial team for its first bellwether trial, which ended in March 2013 with the jury awarding more than $11 million in compensatory and punitive damages to a woman injured by the Gynecare Prolift device. (In re: Pelvic Mesh/Gynecare Litigation, No. 6341-10)
Mr. Grand was also appointed Co-Liaison Counsel in a second proceeding underway in Atlantic County Superior Court for lawsuits filed against C.R. Bard. (In re: Pelvic Mesh Litigation/Bard, No. L-6339-10)
