The luxury real estate market is beginning to make a comeback, with Vail and Beaver Creek, Colorado real estate sales showing an increase in the first quarter of 2010, reports Forbes Sotheby’s International Realty.

The number of sales in the Vail, Beaver Creek, Colorado real estate market showed a marked increase in the first quarter of 2010, reports leading Vail Valley real estate brokerage Forbes Sotheby’s International Realty. The firm notes that this could very well be a sign that the country’s luxury real estate market is indeed beginning to make a comeback as recent articles from financial publications like Barron’s and the Wall Street Journal have indicated.

Home sales in Eagle County, which encompasses much of Vail Valley, numbered 276 from January to March of this year. This is a significant increase from 2009’s 145. “We are not predicting a return to 2007 and 2008 highs,” says Forbes Sotheby’s International Realty founder Kraig Forbes, “but the rise in activity that the valley has been seeing is certainly a heartening sign of the state of the market in the near future.”
