The Vein Healthcare Center will be hosting a free varicose vein seminar on Thursday, February 21st from 5:30pm-6:30pm. Vein Healthcare Center founder Dr. Cindy Asbjornsen will teach attendees about varicose veins and how they are related to venous disease, as well what can be done to relieve pain and discomfort.
“At the Vein Healthcare Center, we believe that people with vein issues should have the knowledge to make good, informed decisions about their leg health and overall well-being,” said Dr. Asbjornsen.
Varicose veins are the result of venous insufficiency: blood that pools in the vein because of a faulty valve. They are a symptom of early stage venous disease, and, untreated, can lead to increased symptoms and worsening appearance.
Modern varicose vein treatments are outpatient procedures that are minimally invasive and virtually pain-free. There are outstanding success rates, when performed by an experienced, board-certified vein specialist.
The varicose vein seminar is free, but space is limited. Call (207) 221-7799 or email info (at) veinhealthcare (dot) com to reserve a seat.
Dr. Cindy Asbjornsen is the founder of the Vein Healthcare Center, as well as the Maine Phlebology Association. Certified by the American Board of Phlebology, she cares for all levels of venous disease, including spider veins, varicose veins and venous ulcers. Dr. Asbjornsen is the only vein specialist in Maine to be named a Fellow by the American College of Phlebology. She is also the editorial director of Vein Health News, Maine’s vein magazine for primary care physicians.
