Vancouver College of Art and Design (VCAD) is hosting a one-day design workshop on Saturday May 29, 2010 for 2010 high school graduates looking to fund their post-secondary art education. VCAD’s Scholarship Portfolio Design Studio allows students to complete their scholarship entry with the guidance of VCAD’s industry-leading instructors. $150,000 in scholarships will be awarded on June 22, 2010.

VCAD will be awarding one full scholarship, up to four half scholarships and as many as 50 partial scholarships to successful applicants. While scholarship applicants can complete their application projects on their own, VCAD is encouraging students to attend the Scholarship Portfolio Design Studio in order to get guidance from VCAD’s world-class instructors and use of the school’s industry-leading facilities.

VCAD offers art and design programs in Fashion Design, Interior Design, 3D Modeling Animation, Graphic Design, Web Design, and Marketing and Merchandising for Fashion. Interested students are asked to submit a scholarship application package specific to the program they are applying for by June 15, 2010. Scholarship winners will be notified by June 22, 2010.
