Vegan Mainstream, a one of a kind company that launched in October 2009, is on a mission to fill the gap between the country's conventional marketplace and billion dollar vegan and vegetarian industries. “Our main focus is helping the small to medium sized vegan/veg businesses break into the mainstream,” said Vegan Mainstream founder and dedicated vegan, Stephanie Redcross. “I think the mainstream is already catching on, so there's really no better time to be part of the vegan movement. We want to encourage every business to have a vegan option. Then, we as vegans, must support and educate these businesses, so businesses understand the importance of shifting to products that help our community and the planet.”

Vegan Mainstream's clients include renowned book authors, bloggers, natural skin care companies and vegan bakeries. The company started with one employee and now has a team of over 20 and an online social media network of nearly 15,000 supporters and a Vegan Blog. Redcross would eventually like to take its services international.

By working with companies that share the veg/vegan passion and providing clients with calculated and already tested marketing plans with multiple avenues to success, Vegan Mainstream has been able to succeed in a strapped economy. This month, Vegan Mainstream launched a new website that features a plant life vegan comic strip, weekly featured interviews from veg business owners and leaders, a free marketing tutorial, a round up of all the best vegan mainstream content and a list of the hottest new products and businesses.

“Many of our initial clients have chosen Vegan Mainstream because they wanted help in building a successful online community. Each client required a different approach since their needs ranged from a book launch to an online store launch to a site launch. Through daily management of our clients' Facebook and Twitter accounts we have been able to increase follower engagement, increase a client's online profile and introduce clients to key potential customers and leaders in their respective fields of expertise,” said Redcross. “In addition to generating daily conversation on a client's social media account, we host online chats and contests to drive product awareness and help the client reach new customers via diverse channels. After 60 days, we have seen clients' Facebook and Twitter fan/follower base increase by 600% and have delivered email marketing open rates as high at 30%. There is nothing like working on something you believe in everyday, making veganism accessible to everyone.”
