Mulberry Street Pizzeria, serving vegan pizza, New York-style pizza and vegetarian pizza, is supporting the Gilead House’s "Summer 2012 Flights and Bites" event at West Wind Wines. The fundraising event is a pre-harvest party and wine tasting on Aug. 25, from 1 to 5 p.m., that will benefit the women and children of Gilead House.
“We support local schools and other non-profit organizations with a donation toward their fundraising events in the community,” Barbara Rowe of Mulberry Street Pizzeria said.
Featuring music by Jam Daddy, tickets for "Summer 2012 Flights and Bites" are $30 per person and can be purchased online at http://www.gileadhouse.org. The night will feature handcrafted wines, gourmet hors d'oeuvres, a silent auction, and some participants will win an iPad.
Mulberry Street Pizzeria strives to support and give back to organizations in the community. The pizzeria has already donated more than 50 gift certificates to local schools and non-profit organizations this year.
“We always welcome requests for donations of certificates for qualified 501(c)(3) organizations,” Rowe said.
Marin’s Mulberry Street Pizza, serving up vegan pizza, New York-style pizza, and gluten-free pizza and pasta, was once again awarded the Best Pizza in Marin County in the Pacific Sun “Hall of Fame.” Mulberry Street Pizza also won that award in 1995, 1996, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.
