Dr. Scott Darling of The Skin & Vein Center has begun a partnership with the American Venous Forum to promote vein health through placing a new emphasis on non-invasive vein screenings.
Using The Skin & Vein Center’s state-of-the-art vascular ultrasound lab, Dr. Darling can detect whether a patient needs vein therapy.
By using the vascular ultrasound lab, the vein screenings can be non-invasive and pain-free, so patients don’t have to worry about healing times or finding someone to drive them home.
Dr. Darling said he aims to remove obstacles to vein screenings so patients can know their risks for serious conditions, such as blood clots or pulmonary embolisms.
“Millions of Americans have dangerous blood clots for in their leg veins each year,” Dr. Darling said. “We want people to be armed with information about their veins so they can be prepared when a clot develops. That’s why we’re working with the American Venous Forum to provide these vein screenings.”
People interested in learning about the health of their veins in the non-invasive ultrasound lab can contact The Skin & Vein Center at 816-482-3764.
