On October 5th, vein specialist Dr. Cindy Asbjornsen of the Vein Healthcare Center in Maine will be participating in Grand Rounds at the Parkview Adventist Medical Center in Brunswick, Maine.
As part of Parkview’s continuing medical education program, Dr. Asbjornsen will give a presentation entitled “What primary care providers should know about modern phlebology.” She will provide an overview of modern phlebology, explain the primary care physician’s role in vein health, and help attendees to understand and recognize the continuum of venous disease.
“I have two goals: to educate, and to encourage physicians and other health professionals to provide the best venous care available to their patients,” said Dr. Asbjornsen.
Dr. Cindy Asbjornsen is the founder of the Maine Phlebology Association and the Vein Healthcare Center in Maine. Dr. Asbjornsen is certified by the American Board of Phlebology and cares for all levels of venous disease, including spider veins, varicose veins and venous stasis ulcers. She is also the Editorial Director of Vein Health News, Maine’s vein magazine for primary care physicians.
