The enterprise vendor industry is changing dramatically with the rise of subscription cloud services. We see more enterprise consumers going online for vendor discovery and VendorStack can increase the signal to noise ratio in vendor procurement.

VendorStack, a leading online enterprise vendor comparison platform, announced its open beta last week. Since launching its private beta in Fall 2012, VendorStack has formed almost 3,000 relationships between vendors and their customers. Approximately 500 private beta users selected an average of four vendors each, with a quarter of the users submitting a review, question, or answer on VendorStack.

“The enterprise vendor industry is changing dramatically with the rise of subscription cloud services. What used to be a capital expenditure has become an operating expense,” said David Cheng, CEO & co-founder of VendorStack. “At my last company, we did our vendor research online and it was incredibly painful. We see more enterprise consumers going online for vendor discovery and VendorStack can increase the signal to noise ratio in vendor procurement.”

In addition to providing enterprise consumers a platform for vendor discovery, VendorStack is working closely with the vendor community to better reach their customers. As part of its open beta launch, VendorStack released its latest infographic, Seven Hard Questions Asked by Mobile Developers, which names 31 vendors that solve seven major pain points identified by VendorStack users. VendorStack is also announcing a first close to their seed round, led by Kevin Chou, CEO and founder of Kabam, the leader in free to play core gaming. “I’ve known David for a few years and I see VendorStack as the natural progression in vendor discovery from traditional market research firms like Gartner to a crowd-sourced user-generated platform. I’m very excited to see how VendorStack impacts purchasing decision for fast-growing enterprises like Kabam.”
