Woodbridge Insurance Services Joins the TAPS Organization in Joint Charity Drive to Provide Support to Families of Fallen Soldiers
Woodbridge, VA (PRWEB) August 16, 2016 -- Woodbridge Insurance Services, a locally operated insurance and financial planning agency that provides services to families and businesses throughout northern Virginia and Washington DC, is joining the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors organization for a charity event that will benefit the families of fallen American military veterans.
The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing compassionate care to the families of fallen veterans. Founded by Bonnie Carroll in 1994, the TAPS organization has provided assistance to more than 60,000 family members, casualty officers, and caregivers who are in mourning for loved ones lost in military service. For three years running, TAPS has received a four-star rating from Charity Navigator.
“Men and women who have died in service to our country are heroes of the highest order, and we sincerely hope this charity event will help bring peace and closure to the families these fallen heroes have left behind,” says Joseph Cotten, founder and director of Woodbridge Insurance Services.
To publicize the TAPS charity drive, Cotten and his team are establishing an online social media portal and utilizing an email bulletin system to provide information to families and community leaders in the area. As well, Cotten and his team are drafting a full page article for release in this month’s issue of “Our Hometown,” a monthly online circular published by Woodbridge Insurance Services: http://www.woodbridgeins.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_39.
Earlier this year, Woodbridge Insurance Services joined the national “Agents of Change” charitable cause involvement program. As part of this ongoing campaign, Cotten and his team will be finding and working with a new Virginia-based charity or nonprofit every sixty days.
