To be acknowledged by your peers and competitors who get and understand what you do is the highest, most respected honor.

Wednesday evening marked the close of 2014’s CaterSource and EventSolutions annual conference with it’s Andy Warhol-inspired awards banquet “La Vie En Coulour”. TV Host and Award-winning caterer Vicky Crease of Vicky Crease Catering took away three of the organization’s Catered Arts Through Innovated Excellence (CATIE) awards winning in the Signature Caterer for Best Event, Best Plated Menu, and Best Buffet Presentation and Menu categories. Crease is no stranger to the CATIE awards, having won eight of them in previous years. “To be acknowledged by your peers and competitors who get and understand what you do is the highest, most respected honor” in response to her wins.

Vicky Crease Catering also had gained two additional nominations for CATIE awards in the Best Barbeque or Picnic Menu and the Signature Caterer for Best Multiple Day Event categories. Additionally, Crease gained nominations for CaterSource’s Achievement in Catering Excellence (ACE) award in the International Over $2 Million Category (she won Best International Caterer in 2010) as well as EventSolution’s Spotlight Award for Supplier of the Year.

The CATIE awards recognize achievement of exemplary food production at an event while the ACE award recognizes companies in the catering industry that have shown noteworthy achievement throughout the year in culinary, business, community and professional development. The Spotlight awards are dedicated to recognizing the best and brightest event professionals in the industry.

“I always enjoy the people, energy, and new ideas of CaterSource” said Crease in regard to the conference, “these are people that I work with and respect so much.” The conference, which took place March 23 through 26, showcases the finest in catering and event talent as well as the latest trends and tricks of the catering and event industry.
