Overland Park, KS (PRWEB) December 19, 2012
Dr. Bradley Vince, Founder, Medical Director, and President of Vince & Associates Clinical Research (VACR), a leading provider of Phase I-III clinical trial research for the global pharmaceutical and biotech industry, was profiled and interviewed by CWWeekly for the November 26th issue.
CWWeekly, a CenterWatch periodical committed to delivering top headlines and breaking news in the clinical research marketplace, interviewed Dr. Vince about the decisions and planning leading up to the construction of the new 90-bed Clinical Pharmacology Center in Overland Park, Kansas. In the interview, CWWeekly praised the boutique hotel-like amenities at the Clinical Pharmacology Center and announced the VACR award nomination for Clinical Trial Innovation in the 2nd Annual Partnerships in Clinical Trials Awards.
Introduced in April of 2011, the VACR Clinical Pharmacology Center was a culmination of years of planning and design by a team of over 50 clinical researchers headed by Dr. Vince. The Clinical Pharmacology Center features bedside touch screen entertainment units, a movie theatre, game room, and internet café. In the CWWeekly interview, Dr. Vince explained that future patient populations and clinical trials at VACR required a clinical pharmacology unit that focused on delivering purpose-built and upscale amenities.
“Because we conduct clinical trials in a variety of therapeutic areas, the unit was built for the purpose of accommodating a wide variety of patient populations secondary to our diverse therapeutic experience in clinical trials,” said Dr. Vince in the CWWeekly article. “Our clients were engaging us to recruit special patient populations earlier and with greater frequency in the clinical trials process. I knew in order to be considered the leader in these types of clinical trials, I had to make a bold statement with this unit. From pediatrics to elderly, all study volunteers will find the necessary accommodations to feel at home in this state-of-the-art research facility.”
As the Medical Director at VACR, Dr. Vince is charged with the daily safety and healthcare needs of the special population volunteers. The CWWeekly article focused much of the interview with Dr. Vince on aspects of his ongoing efforts to improve patient retention, all the while providing earliest reports on drug safety and potential efficacy in targeted therapeutic areas. In response to questions about how VACR was approaching the management of the new Clinical Pharmacology Center, Dr. Vince spoke at length about how the clinical trial management systems and experienced clinical and administrative staff at VACR are helping to efficiently conduct studies in the increasingly-complex clinical trials field.
