We will be hosting a car show that is open to anyone who wants to show off their ride
Danville, CA (PRWEB) May 18, 2012
Fathers and non-fathers alike are sure to have a great time in the East Bay area on June 17 when Blackhawk Museum presents its Father’s Day Family Car Show. The event, which will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., will feature vintage cars, classic cars and rare cars for car enthusiasts and their families to enjoy.
“We will be hosting a car show that is open to anyone who wants to show off their ride,” Jon Snyder of Blackhawk Museum said.
For a registration fee of $10 per vehicle, participants may bring their rod cars, classic cars or muscle cars for everyone to see. Dads, on the other hand, are welcome to bring any car, regardless of make, as a treat for Father’s Day. Drivers who participate will receive admission to the museum and a commemorative dash plaque.
Blackhawk Museum will turn Danville into a festive place on Father’s Day, as there will be many activities for the whole family to enjoy, including a performance from rock band Juke Joint. Gourmet sausage will also be available, and children will receive free hotdogs.
The classic car museum would also like to invite the community to view its extensive automobile exhibition, which features a wide range of vintage cars, as well as the roadside relics exhibition, where one can view vintage jukeboxes, gas pumps and other American memorabilia. Fathers will receive admission for free.
To keep children busy, there’s also the museum’s Discovery Room, where children can engage in self-directed, hands-on activities. A clown with balloon animals will be present for children on Father’s Day.
Registration for participating cars is at 9 a.m. on June 17.
