Tangible Express Expands its Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing Capacity
Fractional rapid prototyping company announces purchase of ten state-of-the-art 3D Systems' SLA® / SLS® systems
Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) March 15, 2007 -- Tangible Express, the pioneer in rapid prototyping fractional ownership, has completed an order with 3D Systems Corporation (TDSC) for 10 additional Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing systems. Tangible Express is expanding its capacity to support its new Tangible Alliance Program™ (TAP™). Rapid prototyping fractional ownership, recently introduced to the industry, enables customers to own the exact amount of rapid prototyping and rapid manufacturing assets they need.
The large 10-machine order consists of six of 3D Systems latest dual vat Viper™ Pro SLA® Systems, three Sinterstation® HiQ™ HS SLS® Systems and a Viper™ SLA® System. "This order not only creates more available inventory, but it allows us to offer our users a turn around time unheard of in the industry," states Alex Linde, President and COO of Tangible Express. Tangible Express recently announced its expansion into its new facility to provide room for the new system order.
"This order adds an additional 16 of 3D Systems' latest, most productive and accurate platforms for us to build orders on. We are deliberately investing in this capacity in our facility to meet demand and offer our fractional owners a significantly reduced lead-time. Our goal is to set a new industry standard by beginning owners' builds within hours instead of the current industry practice, which is days. Tangible Express and 3D Systems Corporation worked closely on the order to insure the logistics of smooth delivery and on-site servicing of the systems. To maximize machine performance and uptime, 3D Systems will provide dedicated on-site service.
