These new features had a standing room only crowd of over 6,000 in a frenzy at Vitality, the company’s annual celebration of Life, Health, and Prosperity, held this year at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel. Just 90 days ago, a record 3,000 were in attendance in Cincinnati, Ohio to see the debut of the Vi-Net Mobile App, a multi-platform application suite available free of charge to the Promoters of the company’s Body by Vi 90-Day Challenge.
Today there are over 20,000 Promoters using the application to access and manage their business, shop, and enroll new members from any iPhone, Blackberry, or Android enabled smartphone. The application is available for download now at http://mobile.visalus.com and also available on iTunes and in the Android Marketplace.
The new Location Based Services in the Vi-Net Mobile App allow users to find and attend Body by Vi Challenge Parties near them using their phone’s GPS capabilities. They are also able to “Check In” when they arrive at a party, helping them socially share with their own online network of friends and contacts.
“To be able to seamlessly fit into a person’s natural routine is the key,” said ViSalus Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer Blake Mallen. “We don’t want people to learn new technologies and new features, or go out and tell all their friends to join some new social network. We’ve developed applications to fit with the networks where people already have their social circle in place; to help people share the Challenge organically like they would if they saw a movie they liked or ate at a great restaurant.”
From a purely financial standpoint, the game-changer of the weekend was the live demonstration of the Application’s Group Buying capability. ViSalus is able to push a special offer to all users of the Vi-Net Mobile App, allowing them to actually lower their own purchase price and more and more people buy.
