London (PRWEB UK) 5 April 2013
Now in its fifteenth year, the Business Continuity Awards recognise those business continuity, security, resilience and risk professionals whose innovative strategies and approach to the business make them stand out.
Having been shortlisted for innovation in the Business Continuity Awards for the last six years, this year Vocal has announced that it has been shortlisted for three prestigious award categories; Vocal for Specialist Company of the Year, iModus Incident Management Suite for Most Innovative Product of the Year and Best Contribution to Continuity and Resilience in partnership with the Cross-Sector Safety and Security Communications Partnership (CSSC) for its ground-breaking work leading up to, and during the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Trevor Wheatley-Perry, Vocal’s Managing Director says: "2012 was an exceptional year for Vocal and we are delighted to see that recognised in making the shortlist for these highly respected awards. We have worked towards this point for the last ten years and both the company and product awards detail our close working partnerships with the UK’s emergency services, businesses and support organisations. It is through this collaborative work that we have gained a unique perspective on incident management that has allowed our business continuity and communications solutions to evolve as global market leaders."
Vocal is also shortlisted for its collaboration with the Cross-Sector Safety and Security Communications Partnership (CSSC) in creating a new communications infrastructure for London leading up to the London 2012 Olympic Games. The award recognises the Best Contribution to Continuity and Resilience.
Trevor continues: ‘We are incredibly proud to have been part of the CSSC project, and the long-term legacy that it brings with it as a world-recognised initiative. It’s a clear example that, although Vocal is a commercial organisation, the work we do is incredibly important and tangible to the safety of millions of people and the security of the places in which they live and work.’
The winners of the 2013 CIR Magazine Business Continuity Awards will be announced at an awards gala dinner taking place on 30 May, 2013 at the Hilton on Park Lane in London.
