Innovative new mobile app uses Vocalware’s Text To Speech (TTS) cloud service for its voice features

WizardGo, an Android app that allows users to listen to their favorite Internet content, announced this week their integration with the Vocalware cloud service for generating and playing Text to Speech (TTS) audio. WizardGo, which was launched a few weeks ago, already has thousands of downloads, narrating content mostly in English and Spanish.

“Users on the go - walking, exercising, commuting or driving - can’t keep up with the content they like, because they can’t or don’t want to read; this is the very real problem that WizardGo come to solve,” says Hernan Restrepo, Tech Lead of the WizardGo Team, “current content reader apps fall short in solving this problem, as it requires users’ full visual attention, a condition that simply can’t be met while on the go”.

The WizardGo team says they found in Vocalware an ideal partner for its voice features. “The combination of an easy to use, low cost, high quality cloud API, is key to being able to deliver a quality and scalable experience. We were really impressed with how mature Vocalware’s TTS technology is, and were able to fully integrate with the Vocalware API within a couple of hours,” said Restrepo.

Vocalware is excited to see innovative apps like WizardGo being built on top of its API. “This is a great example of using the cloud to democratize developers’ access to advanced technology”, said Eric Kiang, Product Director of Vocalware. “Making our voice APIs available on the cloud opens them up to being widely and creatively used".

With thousands of developers signed on to its service, Vocalware is seeing rapid adoption of its cloud based voice API.
