London for London is fundraising for three great causes that make an immense difference to young people across the capital. I encourage everybody who's out and about on Saturday October 3 to help play a part in tackling youth crime by digging deep and giving generously. I truly hope London for London is a great success.

Leapanywhere.com, the social network that redefines volunteering through having a good time doing good, rallies the largest ever number of volunteers for a night out for charity in London. 1,000 volunteers are coming together to Leap on Saturday 3 October for the new charity initiative London for London which is uniting the capital by inviting anyone stepping out to enjoy its clubs, bars and pubs to part with a pound to help combat anti-social behaviour amongst young people. The new charity hopes to mobilise 1 million donors by asking people to do what they do anyway, enjoy London's nightlife.

The number of venues supporting the charity is forever growing, from major brands including Novus Leisure venues and the O'Neill's pub chain, to clubs / busy bars including Cargo (Cantaloupe Group), Ministry of Sound, Match bars (Match Bar Group) as well as some of London's hottest style bars like Maddox, Boujis and Whisky Mist. Mayor Boris Johnson, HRH Prince William, Basement Jaxx (Vula) and others are all in support as well. London for London 2009 is all about raising awareness of violence amongst young people in the capital and all funds raised will go to to improving children's lives through charities Kids Company,Volunteer Police Cadets and Help a London Child.
