A record 1,200 nominations were received for this year's awards which pay homage to the best travel-related websites. Hands Up Holidays won the "Best Responsible Tourism" category - a considerable achievement given that the operator is just over two years old and Responsible Travel is one of the fastest growing segments within travel.

Hands Up Holidays revamped its website recently to make it even easier for community-conscious travellers to locate exactly what they need. New functions have been introduced to allow clients to search for holidays in specific categories such as 'family', 'honeymoon' and 'in-style', or simply to choose by preferred destination.
