Angela Ray will be the keynote speaker for the Honor’s Convocation at Voorhees College on Thursday April 4, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the Leonard E. Dawson Health and Human Resources Center. Following the keynote presentation, she will also conduct a round table discussion with the Mass Communication majors. Ray earned a degree in Radio Television, Motion Pictures and Speech Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
The Honors Convocation is an annual ceremony recognizing students for their distinguished academic achievements. It is one the most important academic traditions. “As an honor’s graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I know how hard these students have worked to achieve at this level. I am privileged to share in this special day with them,” Ray said.
A highly requested college speaker, this is one of the busiest times of year for Ray. Most recently, she spoke at North Carolina Central University for its Acing Financial Literacy Program sponsored by its Office of Scholarships and Student Aid and the Women’s Center. In March, she released her latest book, Rays of Motivation.
