Voxox®, innovator in unified cloud communication solutions for businesses with the most comprehensive unified communications Platform as a Service, today announced that the company's VP of channel sales, Joann Farrar, was named to CRN's 2016 Women of the Channel list. The women executives who comprise this annual list span the IT channel, representing vendors, distributors, solution providers and other organizations that figure prominently in the channel ecosystem. Each is recognized for her outstanding leadership, vision, and unique role in driving channel growth and innovation. CRN editors select the Women of the Channel honorees on the basis of their professional accomplishments, demonstrated expertise and ongoing dedication to the IT channel. The 2016 Women of the Channel list will be featured in the June issue of CRN magazine and online.
“These executives have made a lasting mark on our industry—growing and elevating partner programs, leading transitions to new business models and introducing cutting-edge go-to-market strategies, among other remarkable achievements,” said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company, publisher of CRN. “We congratulate all the 2016 Women of the Channel and celebrate their singular contributions to the advancement of the channel ecosystem.”
Joann Farrar has 18 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. She joined Voxox in 2009 to establish the small to medium-sized business and wholesale business sales channels, and has since been a critical and guiding voice in evolving the channel partner program. Prior to Voxox, Farrar was the general manager at TelNet Technologies, and before that, Farrar held management positions in operations with NEC and Nortel (now owned by Avaya). Earlier in her career, Farrar was a financial analyst for Merrill Lynch. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the USC Marshall School of Business.
"I am honored to be included in this prestigious list of female leaders across the channel industry," said Farrar. "I've been part of the Voxox channel team since the launch of the Channel Partner Program seven years ago. I'm delighted to be recognized for my efforts."
"Joann has been pivotal in the development of our channel program by taking the time to nurture mutually beneficial relationships with her partners," said Tad Nikolich, SVP of business sales at Voxox. "She is a tremendous partner advocate, making sure partners are well-informed and their customers are taken care of when they interact with our company. We could not have built our channel program without her."
