eEye Forms Technology Partnership with OPSWAT

Our technology allows eEye Digital Security to quickly pull threat data from endpoints to build intuitive threat analysis and protection

eEye Digital Security, a provider of IT security and unified vulnerability management solutions, today announced that it has signed a technology partnership agreement with OPSWAT, Inc., the industry leader in software management SDKs, interoperability certification and multiple-engine scanning solutions, to enable eEye customers greater visibility and flexibility in how they protect their IT environments.

By leveraging components of OPSWAT’s OESIS Framework, eEye’s protection technology will gain insight into malware and attacks, including Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs), such as Operation Aurora and Night Dragon, which may impact corporate assets. eEye’s Blink Endpoint Protection product provides integrated multi-layered endpoint protection including zero-day protection, intrusion prevention, and system protection.

OPSWAT’s OESIS Framework is a cross-platform, open development framework that enables software engineers and technology vendors to develop products that detect, classify and manage thousands of third-party software applications.

"It’s increasingly difficult for enterprises to protect themselves against sophisticated threats like APTs," said Brad Hibbert, eEye’s VP of Strategy. "By enhancing our technology with components from OPSWAT’s OESIS Framework, we give our customers insight into specific malware and attacks, which helps them close potential exploit points.”

"Our technology allows eEye Digital Security to quickly pull threat data from endpoints to build intuitive threat analysis and protection," said Tom Mullen, VP of Business Development, OPSWAT, Inc.
