We solved this problem for one of our clients by creating a flagstone water feature with a valve that could be adjusted to provide a tranquil trickle of water or rushing water to drown out the neighbors when necessary.”

To provide a natural look that is so popular with homeowners today, the pump and filter were installed behind the falls to hide the plumbing. In addition, lighting was installed at the bottom of the falls controlled by a keychain that beautifully highlighted the flagstone and brought the feature to life after dark.

Now that the problem of unwanted noise was solved and their clients could once again enjoy their backyard getaway, Custom Landscape added a matching flagstone barbeque and sink so the homeowners could enjoy cooking outside next to their falls. A stucco garage was also covered with flagstone so the entire yard blended together to create one sanctuary. Brick walls surrounded the perimeter to help block sound waves along with bright, colorful plants. The bottom of the pond was midnight blue with white sand and included lighting that illuminated the whole backyard.
