3PL Software Provider 3PL Central Announces 3PL Warehouse Manager
Spring ‘08 Release is Now Live
On-Demand 3PL WMS Helps Small- and Mid-sized Public Warehouses Grow
with New Multi-Customer Billing Management, FedEx Integration and EDI
Functionality
OREM, Utah (Business Wire EON/PRWEB ) March 31, 2008 --
3PL Central
(www.3plcentral.com),
the first on-demand 3PL software provider to focus on small- to
mid-sized 3PLs, today announced the launch of its 3PL
Warehouse Manager Spring ‘08 Release.
Provided as an instant upgrade to all subscribers, the Spring ’08
release now supports more than 155 inventories in 23 warehouse
facilities across four countries.
3PL Central’s on-demand warehouse management
system (WMS), 3PL Warehouse Manager™, provides
third party warehouse operators a full-featured - yet affordable - “pay
for what you use” 3PL WMS solution. The new
Spring ’08 Release builds on this tradition by
enabling 3PL subscribers to further accelerate their growth with a host
of new features, including Automated Multi-Customer Billing Management,
FedEx Integration and enhanced EDI Support.
The 3PL Warehouse Manager Spring ‘08 release
was driven entirely by customer input, with all new features being
developed in collaboration with 3PL Central subscribers. Since
enhancements are included in regular monthly subscription fees, all 3PL
Central users have immediate access to these business-growing features
without the need to pay costly software upgrade fees. Key 3PL Warehouse
Manager Spring ‘08 features include:
-
Billing
Wizard™ Enhancements for
System-Generated Recurring and Split-Month Storage Charge Billing
3PLs can now automate the burdensome and time-consuming task of
calculating and billing customer storage fees. 3PL Warehouse Manager’s
automated Billing Wizard now supports both system-calculated split-month
billing (taking into consideration free day periods) and monthly
recurring storage charges.
3PLs can now increase order-handling capabilities - while virtually
eliminating data input errors - with support for X12 (940/945),
fixed-position flat file and XML EDI integration.
-
Retail Distribution UCC-128 Label Support
Public warehouses can supplement service capabilities with
retailer-compliant UCC-128 labeling for all major retailers including
Wal-Mart, Target, and Costco.
-
FedEx Ship Manager Integration
Seamless integration with FedEx Ship Manager allows transfer of package
details to FedEx and the return of freight charges and tracking numbers.
This allows subscribers to handle a higher volume of parcel shipments
with less data entry errors and greater worker efficiency.
In addition, 3PL Warehouse Manager already supports multi-customer,
multi-warehouse and multi-user facilities –
as well as real-time web-based inventory visibility. Using 3PL Warehouse
Manager allows small- to mid-sized warehouse operators to add new
business without being restricted by the technological limitations or
financial barriers they might otherwise encounter with packaged software
products.
“3PL Central has been instrumental in the
growth of our public warehousing business by providing real-time receipt
and shipment information to both us and our customers,”
said Erik Hinson, Managing Director of Falcon Worldwide Distribution. “And
with the Spring ‘08 release’s
new EDI enhancements, we’ll be able to handle
way more customer orders without adding any data entry or customer
service staff. This new feature alone has enabled us to begin EDI
implementation discussions with larger and more sophisticated customers.”
3PL Warehouse Manager™: “Affordable,
On-demand 3PL WMS”
3PL Warehouse Manager is the first web-based, on-demand (Software as a
Service - SaaS) warehouse management system focused on public and third
party warehouses. 3PL Warehouse Manager provides functionality
previously found only in high-cost, traditional WMS applications. 3PL
Warehouse Manager’s advanced functionality
includes real-time online reporting, kitting support, advanced billing
management and EDI integration. 3PL Warehouse Manager is now available
to any size warehouse operation starting at $295 per month.
“The Spring ‘08
Release truly shows the benefit of on-going collaborative efforts with
our customers. All of the enhancements were customer-driven –
which keeps our software on the leading edge of industry needs, while
still providing clients affordable, pay-for-what-you-use 3PL WMS
technology,” said John Watkins, president and
CEO of 3PL Central. “It is very satisfying
when a customer tells me that one of our product features, such as EDI,
was directly responsible for helping them win new customers and grow
their business.”
