Irvine, CA (Vocus) July 22, 2009
Warrior Custom Golf announced today that they will be joining forces with the American Diabetes Association to support the 2nd Annual ''Take a Swing at Diabetes'' Golf Charity Classic to be held on September 14th, 2009 at the Andover Golf & Country Club in Lexington, Kentucky. The event will be hosted by Missing Link Managed Services, Kentucky Accounts Service and The Andover Golf & Country Club. The event will directly benefit the ADA’s mission to find a cure, providing care for those with the disease and it’s commitment to programs, support groups, camps for children and outreach initiatives.
“I’m excited to have Warrior Custom Golf join us this year in our effort to promote a continued Cure, Care, Commitment to an eventual eradication of this disease from our society.” said Mike Runyon, General Manager of Missing Link Managed Services who spearheaded the event a year ago when he felt that he could do more than donate money to support diabetes. ''We want this event to be one of many so that we can make a continual contribution to help fight this disease.''
Over 150 golfers and cooperate officials from American Founders Bank, Talon Winery, Kentucky Accounts Service, Missing Link Managed Services, Ad Venture Promotions, Bell Suzuki, Pepsi, and Crowne Plaza will be at attendance to show their support for the continued efforts of The American Diabetes Association.
All proceeds from the tournament will make a difference in the lives of the 20.8 million children and adults in the US who suffer from this life-threatening disease and to the continuing work of The American Diabetes Association’s research to prevent, cure and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
