We appreciate the support we are receiving from Warrior Custom Golf to benefit our Wounded Warriors who have gone in harms way and paid a price for the cause of Freedom
Irvine, CA (Vocus) October 1, 2009
Warrior Custom Golf announces today that they will be supporting the 5th Annual Injured Marine Golf Benefit to be held at the Costa Mesa Golf Course on Columbus Day October 12, 2009. The event will be held to honor our injured and critically ill Marines, Sailors, Soldiers, and their families.
Since inception, the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund has provided over 8000 grants to assist our Post-9/11 wounded and seriously ill heroes and their families. "We appreciate the support we are receiving from Warrior Custom Golf to benefit our Wounded Warriors who have gone in harms way and paid a price for the cause of Freedom," said Fred Arnold former Marine Corps Captain and Tournament Director of the Injured Marine Golf Benefit.
The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund was established in May 2004 by four Marine spouses, when they saw first hand the needs of those returning from battle. When Marines, Sailors, and other military personnel assigned to Marine Forces are injured or critically ill, their entire family shares the pain. Normal life is put on hold and few families are prepared for the expenses they face. The injured Marine Semper Fi Fund was created to implement a plan to provide financial grants to Post-9/11 injured service members and their families during the difficult road to recovery.
Proceeds from the event will go directly to support the mission of the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund to provide financial assistance and quality of life solutions to our Wounded Warriors and their families.
About The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund
The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund provides financial assistance and quality of life solutions for Marines, Sailors and other military personnel assigned to Marine Forces, injured in post 9-11 combat, training, or with life threatening illnesses, and their families. The fund provides relief for immediate financial needs that arise during hospitalization and recovery as well as perpetuating needs such as home modifications, customized transportation and specialized equipment.

The Injured Marine Golf Benefit at Costa Mesa Golf Course on Oct. 12th, 2009 is a charity event and is not sponsored by the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund. The Fund is the sole beneficiary of the event. The sponsors of the event are doing it solely as volunteers for a non-profit charitable cause to support our injured warriors.

About The Marines
Semper Fidelis distinguishes the Marine Corps bond from any other. It goes beyond team work-it is a brotherhood and lasts for life.
Latin for ''always faithful,'' Semper Fidelis became the Marine Corps motto in 1883. It guides Marines to remain faithful to the mission at hand, to each other, to the Corps and to country, no matter what.
Becoming a Marine is a transformation that cannot be undone, and Semper Fi reminds us of that. Once made, a Marine will forever live by the ethics and values of the Corps.
