Wasatch Baskets & Gifts is Hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive and Local Company Networking Expo on May 14, 2013 from 10 AM to 3 PM. The Company is Asking the Public to Help Support the Event by Scheduling an Appointment in Advance to Donate Blood, Attending the Networking Expo or by Purchasing a Special Edition Gift Basket to Help Raise Money for the Red Cross.

Wasatch Baskets & Gifts, a leading provider of thank you, congratulatory, and condolence gift baskets since 2000, is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive and local company networking expo on Tuesday, May 14, 2013. The public is invited to attend the blood drive and expo, which will be held from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Wasatch Baskets & Gifts warehouse, located on 3615 south 545 west in Salt Lake City.

Those interested in donating blood are required to make an appointment in advance by calling 801-268-6032 by close of business on Friday, May 10th. All blood donations will be given on Tuesday, May 14th.

Sherie Van Bibber, donor recruiter for the Red Cross notes, “The need for blood is constant. The Red Cross strives to collect 440 units every day to meet the needs of the 31 Utah hospitals we serve. We appreciate the efforts of Wasatch Baskets & Gifts to organize this event as well as local business owners and community members for their ongoing support of such a crucial cause.”

The community will also be able to give to the Red Cross by way of purchasing a special edition gift basket from Wasatch Baskets & Gifts. Special edition gift baskets can be purchased online or by calling 801-268-6032 either before the event or at the expo. Proceeds from the sale of the special edition gift baskets will go directly to the Red Cross.

“We look forward to joining with other local businesses and members of the community to collect blood donations and raise money in support of the Red Cross,” said Lance Barton of Wasatch Baskets & Gifts. “It is an honor for us to have the opportunity to give back to a group as important as the Red Cross.”

More than 35 local Utah businesses will have booths set up at the expo, where attendees can support local businesses, participate in contests, and enjoy free products and promotions.
