Watchit Technologies Inc. (Pink Sheets: WTCT), http://www.watchittech.com , stated today that the company awarded a contract to begin the production of a number of prototypes of its patent pending fuel savings device, the fuel reformer. The prototypes are to be used in high level testing and evaluation at a Detroit area fuel lab that specializes in providing fuel system analysis to the automotive industry. According to the company, the independent, industry accepted fuel lab will perform testing that will prove that the fuel reformer results can be replicated and repeated on a number of units. In addition, a chemical analysis of the fuel, both pre and post reformation will be done to independently document changes in the structure of the fuel.

We will not only be verifying and substantiating the fuel savings capabilities, but answering many engineering questions that will contribute to a detailed understanding of the fuel savings technology and its applications to the market.”

This is possibly the single biggest step in the history of the company and the fuel reformer.”

A brief explanation of how the fuel reformer operates is included below:

NATURAL RESOURCES FUEL REFORMER

The Natural Resources Fuel Reformer or “Fuel Reformer” device in the simplest explanation is mounted in the fuel line between the gas tank and the fuel rails (where the fuel enters the engine). The fuel flows through our device and is “reformed” using our patent pending technology. The reforming process essentially makes the fuel able to burn more completely. The reformed fuel is then introduced into the engine as usual. This “higher efficiency fuel” directly yields more miles per gallon (MPG) while at the same time reducing the exhaust emissions. Additionally, we have evidence that the device reduces wear and tear on the engine. A more complete burn of the fuel produces less contaminants in the engine oil that can coat the engine’s parts with harmful substances. Less adulterant in the engine’s lubrication results in longer engine life, and fewer oil changes.

The figure (above) shows the basic components of the Fuel Reformer device. As the fuel enters the device thru a standard fuel-fitting connection it is first manipulated by a preconditioning input distribution stage to prepare the fuel for exposure to the processing chamber. Within the processing chamber the fuel is subjected to intense energy such that the fuel is reformed into high fractions of lower molecular weight constituents that in turn enhance it’s ability to burn more efficiently with less pollutant byproducts. Upon exiting the reformer chamber the fuel is collected in the final stage and outputted back into the fuel line that runs to the engine. The processing components are monitored and controlled by a set of drive electronics in closed loop fashion from the onboard control unit. Temperature and pressure are maintained to optimal levels for the most efficient fuel reforming process.

The Fuel Reformer is designed to be carried on-board vehicles powered by combustion engines operating on liquid hydrocarbon fuel. The fuel may be gasoline or diesel with the reformer sized and/or numbered appropriately for the consumption rate of that engine. Two models are envisioned to fulfill the needs of the small-to-midsize range and the large heavy duty truck categories.
