Wavecrest Computing and Striders Corporation of Tokyo, Japan will expand their 12-year partnership under which Striders markets Wavecrest’s Internet usage security products in Japan and other parts of the Asia-Pacific region. Under the new arrangement, Striders will add three more Wavecrest Internet usage filtering and reporting products to its current array of content security solutions. The new products will include CyBlock Proxy and Cyblock for ISA/TMG solutions which provide both reporting and filtering functionality for different types of network infrastructures. Striders will market all three along with its current Wavecrest offering, Cyfin Reporter, a leading high-end Web-use monitoring, analysis and reporting solution.
Executives from the two companies announced the new agreement in Tokyo while simultaneously displaying and demonstrating the Wavecrest products at the huge Internet Security Expo in Tokyo during the last week in October. Striders was represented by its President and CEO, Ryoichi Hayakawa, and Wavecrest was represented by its President and CEO, Dennis McCabe.
Commenting on the expanded partnership, Mr. McCabe stated, “We have had a long-standing and mutually beneficial relationship with the Striders Corporation and we warmly welcome this opportunity to expand it even further. We are confident that our CyBlock products, which have recently been enhanced with several new features, will meet the content security needs of many businesses and other organizations throughout the Asia-Pacific region just as Cyfin Reporter has done for many years. Briefly, CyBlock Proxy is a standalone proxy / filter / reporting software solution, CyBlock Appliance is a hardware version of CyBlock Proxy, and CyBlock for ISA/TMG is a combination filter / reporter system for use with Microsoft ISA and TMG products.”
