Proactive Support enables dedicated server and VPS hosting customers to have a one-on-one phone consultation with a systems administrator from A Small Orange to define a personalized list of activities, checks, or other functions that the systems administrator will then perform once a month.
For example, a dedicated/VPS hosting customer could work with a system administrator to create a checklist that includes the system administrator monitoring whether updates are available for a script, that backups are running properly, and that no email accounts are at risk of exceeding their quotas. A Small Orange would then perform all of these tasks once a month and the results would be communicated back to the customer.
In addition to defining a monthly administrative checklist, customers with Proactive Support can work with their dedicated system administrator to define regular maintenance tasks. For example, the system administrator could optimize databases tables, delete old backups, or other similar tasks.

Proactive Support can be added to new or already existing dedicated or VPS hosting plans at A Small Orange. Pricing, which varies depending on whether customers have dedicated or VPS web hosting, starts at $15 per month.
