Ice Champs of California is pleased to announce the launch of their new webstore http://www.GuysintheDoghouse.com. It offers a new twist for men who are in trouble with their woman, but don't know how to fix it.
After speaking with hundreds of men about their likes and dislikes in long-term relationships, a theme began to appear that many men seem to share. It is common for men to feel like they are often in 'trouble' with their women, and the helpless feeling of 'What did I do?' seems to prevail. In addition, men report that birthdays and anniversaries are troublesome because they don't know what to get, or how to shop, and the whole process takes too much time.
"It isn't that men are callous," stated Patty Civalleri, CEO of Ice Champs, "I think it's more the issue that the idea of shopping is not a comfortable idea to begin with. But when you compound it with having to figure out a woman's wants and likes, many men would rather get stitches in their eye."
By offering prepackaged kits with step-by-step instructions, men can create a scenario that will make an apology, occasion or transition -- much easier for her to accept, and score big points for him.
The concept was a simple one for Civalleri to wrap her marketing mind around, but actual packaging and pricing presented a greater challenge. She called upon an old friend, Leroy Watson for advise on this matter. Watson recently retired from his long position as Sr. VP of Operations of Trader Joe's, the highly successful chain of specialty grocery stores. His perspective of finding high quality and often unusual products, and presenting them to the customers at an excellent value/price ratio gave Civalleri the creative ammunition she needed to get started.
"A gift-giving problem for me personally as a husband," stated Watson, now President of Ice Champs, "is that I don't know the first thing about how to buy things like jewelry for my wife. I think a guy hates to look stupid in front of a snooty jewelry salesman, so he can get talked into buying something way out of his range." "And", he added, "don't get me started on what it feels like for a guy to go into a lingerie store."
GuysintheDoghouse.com was created so that a guy can buy pretty 'girl' things in an non intimidating manner, and receive ideas -- and even the right words to say -- to cover many occasions and on any budget.
But what about gifts for men? "We are finding that many women are coming to our site looking for gifts for men," said Civalleri, "and finding 'guy' products from around the world will be a welcome challenge for both of us."
Many of the site's products are imported from around the world, and over time, the company will fill the store with unusual and hard-to-find items that will be packaged to make him look really good in her eyes.
