Security vendor iCritical has today announced that the new version of its cloud-based web security service, webCritical, will be available to purchase from Monday 1st July 2013. The improved version offers enhanced reporting functionality and greater insights into online activity. Highlights of the release include more in-depth reporting, drilldown functionality and customisable dashboards.

Powered by Zscaler technology, webCritical is a fully cloud-based solution that provides comprehensive web security to any user, location or device without requiring any hardware, software or agents to be deployed. The new functionality in the upcoming release focuses on providing a greater understanding of the traffic being filtered for an organisation and is designed to give instant and actionable insights into security threats.

Commenting on the additional functionality, Chris Gee, Managing Director at iCritical said, “The new analytics module enables our customers to gain much better insights into their organisation’s web activity. Through the interactive charting customers can instantly jump from a chart to individual transactions providing them with in-depth knowledge of their organisation’s web traffic.”

The new dashboards provide real-time visibility into all aspects of an organisation’s internet traffic. Each dashboard contains widgets that present data in interactive charts, so administrators can move from a chart to individual transactions.

In addition to the customisable dashboards, customers also receive interactive reports as part of the new analytics module. Just like the dashboards, the reports contain widgets that present information in a graphical format and users can roll over a chart to obtain more information about an item. A number of standard reports are provided, but administrators have the ability to create hundreds of custom reports and tailor the service to suit their organisation.

Current customers will be transitioned to the new version of webCritical from midnight on Friday 28th June.

The webCritical update comes shortly after iCritical launched the newest version of mailCritical, the company’s flagship email security product. Combining multi-layered protection with policy enforcement and compliance tools, mailCritical gives IT managers complete email security and control. The new version (version 2.7) saw the arrival of a brand new interface that makes information easier to understand and admin tasks easier to perform. A much improved reporting section provides customers with better access to the statistics for their organisation and automated reports make sharing information a straightforward task.

iCritical is currently offering free online demonstrations of both webCritical and mailCritical. To book a free online demonstration visit http://www.icritical.com/book-demo.
