Adam Howitt, a website analytics specialist, will lead the Website Evolution seminar on Wednesday, December 17th at 8:00 AM at Adam Howitt Consulting, Sheffield Square Professional Building, 2835 N. The seminar is divided into four- one and a half hour sessions, each focused on the four aspects of website evolution. The first morning session will focus on analyzing existing traffic and spotting opportunities for improvement. The second session will illustrate how to use Google Website Optimizer to implement and test those improvements. Following will be two sessions discussing how to drive more traffic using Search Engine Optimization and Google AdWords.

At the end of the seminar, attendees will have learned cost-effective ways to evolve their websites to generate more conversions (i.e. sales, leads, email subscriptions or downloads).

Google Analytics tracks visitors and allows marketers to find problem pages that result in people leaving the site. Google Website Optimizer is a split-test tool to compare and measure new combinations of wording, layouts and graphic. Search Engine Optimization is the process of tweaking web page content to improve ranking in all major search engines. Google AdWords is a low-cost advertising tool that places ads on the Google Search Engine when triggered by keywords or phrases.

Howitt previously worked for Duo Consulting, where he developed content management tools to make it easy for marketers to deliver content to maximize search engine exposure. At Procter and Gamble he worked with regional wholesalers to develop and execute marketing campaigns. He has given presentations on his approach to Search Engine Optimization and analytics at notable conferences, including the Gilbane Conference in Boston and Content Matters in Chicago. With this experience in hand, he started Adam Howitt Consulting.
