Ridingboards.com, a new website aimed at snowboarders, surfers, and skateboarders is launched today. (PRWEB) October 17, 2008 -- Ridingboards.com was launched today as a new website for snowboarders, surfers and skateboarders. With an emphasis on travel, it incorporates videos, photos and information about specific locations for snowboarding, surfing and skateboarding. One of the founders and editors of the new website, Andy Gott, highlighted the site's focus, saying, "ridingboards.com isn't about the internet; it's about inspiring people to get out into the real world and ride real boards on real waves, mountains, ramps and streets. We want to provide people with useful tools to plan trips, hook up with each other, and go 'boarding, surfing and skating."

Features of the ridingboards.com website currently include: Video and photo collections of snowboarding, surfing and skateboarding in various locations around the world; Information pages about each of these locations; Virtual video surf, snowboard and skate trips, for various locations.

Andy summed up the organic and developmental nature of ridingboards.com, saying, "Ridingboards.com will always be a work in progress, and we will continually build and expand the website into the most useful, entertaining and inspiring place on the internet for 'boarders, surfers and skaters."

An invite only members' section of the ridingboards.com website is planned for launch within the next few weeks, which will include social networking features and will allow members to create their own virtual video trips.

The development of ridingboards.com has been in response to a distinct lack of any single website or online hub to cater solely for snowboarders, surfers and skateboarders, and their travel and community needs. Ridingboards.com is intended to be of use to board riders and board riding communities across the globe by providing a centralised hub of media, information and community features.
