Butterfield & Robinson is proud to announce the relaunch of http://www.butterfield.com. The new website is the culmination of a months-long effort to craft the most informative, creative and intuitive website in the luxury active travel business.
Featuring vibrant design from award-winning Viva & Co. and animation by New York-based illustrator Serge Bloch, the site offers the perfect balance between design and functionality, facts and photos, details and whimsy. Newcomers to the world of luxury active travel are offered a sampling of Perfect First Trips, hour-by-hour descriptions of a Typical Day, and detailed explanations of just what those Activity Levels mean.
B&R's multitude of loyal bikers and walkers can take advantage of new inspirational tools and content such as: hotel profiles, up-to-date guide schedules, sample custom trip itineraries and customer accolades to ensure their next active adventure incorporates all their favourite elements.
"Our travellers have always told us that our brochures make great coffee table books, terrific to flip through and daydream to as well as to actively plan," says B&R co-founder George Butterfield. "So we set out to achieve something similar with the website -- create something whimsical that would appeal to the armchair traveller in all of us, while offering quick solutions for those keen to get down to the business of planning their next active adventure."
Indeed, the site offers three distinct and simple ways for travellers to search trips in the navigation: by destination (Places to Go), by activity program (Ways to Go), and by date (Search by Date). As well, throughout the site, a traveller is encouraged to explore B&R trips throughout content such as Special Interests, Great Hotels, Amazing Moments, a Typical Day and more. Itineraries for all B&R trips are easily downloaded, while sample itineraries for custom travel experiences should get the wheels turning for those interested in planning a personalized Bespoke holiday.
The company will make increasing use of the site to announce special offers, last minute trips, and other company news. Soon-to-be-added features include trip videos, press clippings, and an archive of B&R's bi-weekly travel missive, The Slow Road.
