81% of all guests surveyed said that the most memorable part of a wedding is the entertainment...

Warble Entertainment Agency (http://www.warble-entertainment.com) have cemented themselves as one of the UKs favourite suppliers of entertainment, live music and bands for weddings and have come out this wedding season with a stern warning for Brides and Grooms.
“Do not scrimp when it comes to entertainment!” advises Warble’s Customer Services Manager, Jennie Whitworth. “But, don’t worry, we’re not recommending you break the bank either to get great wedding entertainment. All we are saying is that you should always be realistic and remember the old adage that if something looks too good to be true, then it probably is!”
Warble provides live entertainers and music for weddings throughout the UK and Europe and book in excess of 4,000 wedding events each year.
“At Warble we are aware that a DJ can be hired for £100 from the Yellow Pages and that you can probably find a Pub Band for as little as £200," Jennie says. "And whilst this sounds a great deal, and will leave many couples thinking they have managed to cut the costs a little, we just hear alarm bells! The amount of calls we receive from Brides in tears on the morning of their wedding saying that the band they have booked has let them down and can we help them is unbelievable! And, it’s the same with DJs. I can think of at least three times I have heard the story that a DJ just hasn’t turned up for their wedding! Luckily, we have a 24-hour emergency line and are able to help out due to the huge database of professional entertainers and bands we work with. But, I cannot begin to imagine the stress and panic that this must cause for couples on their special day and I’m just glad we can help to repair the damage done.”
Jennie goes on to explain that it isn’t just the reliability that is questionable from many of these acts. “We get many clients calling and asking us to reassure them that the DJ or wedding bands we are recommending won’t be too loud. This is normally because they will have attended an event at some point prior where the DJ insisted on playing at ear-splitting levels or a band was issuing screaming feedback from their below average PA system. A good quality act will have invested in the best equipment and if they do this it will negate many of the issues the customer is worried about. But, this will also invariably mean that the band or entertainer will have taken the time to invest in themselves as an artist and so won’t be the kind of act that will be performing for next to nothing. And, no, I don’t mean they will be charging huge fees, but as with everything in life you tend to get what you pay for. A saying I find useful is ‘Buy Cheap, Buy Twice’. However, on your wedding day you won’t have the luxury of a second bite of the cherry. So, we recommend taking the time to research properly and not just go for the cheapest option because the difference between terrible and great wedding entertainment on your special day is massive.”
It also appears that the statistics currently available back up Warble Entertainment’s warning. It has been found that while planning a wedding the entertainment was one of the Bride and Grooms lowest priorities. However, one week after the wedding 78% of all brides said they should have made the entertainment one of their highest priories! And, as if that isn’t enough, 81% of all guests surveyed said that the most memorable part of a wedding is the entertainment. So, take heed.
