Brides-to-be are Turning to Bride Magazine in Growing Numbers

Bride has announced that sales of Bride magazine have soared during the past year. This coincides with the fact that saying "I do'' appears to be fashionable again with Australia's marriage rate hitting a seven-year high in 2006.

(PRWEB) November 1, 2007 -- Nearly 5000 more Australian couples got married in 2006 than 2005, according to revised ABS statistics released this month. And Bride's three titles, Melbourne Bride, Sydney Bride and Australian Bride, are proving to be a popular and reliable choice for brides-to-be with sales up by more than 30 per cent in the past year.

The latest census figures show 114, 222 couples were married in 2006; the highest number of registered marriages since 1999, and a 5 per cent rise since 2005. The data also shows marriage rates among the 35 -39 age group are rising and 60 per cent of marriages were performed by civil celebrants.

Couples are looking for inspiration and eager to learn how to make dream weddings a reality, with strong attendances at the 2007 Melbourne Bride Wedding Expo and visitors to bride.com.au doubling in the past year.

Bride's three titles, Melbourne Bride, Sydney Bride and Australian Bride have continued to provide information brides need, such as stylish fashion and product shoots, helpful feature articles, real-life wedding stories and spreads full of ideas for everything from great wedding photos to delicate bomboniere.

Bride magazine appeals to the discerning bride, aged between her mid 20s to late 30s, who has a high disposable income and wants a wedding that reflects her and her partner's personalities.

The magazine is supported by its website, bride.com.au - a bank of wedding information on all things bridal. The popular site allows brides to scroll through pictures of wedding dresses, find local wedding suppliers, and read helpful articles on all aspects of wedding planning from choosing bridesmaids to organising wedding music.
