Alfred Angelo Catherine Middleton-inspired wedding dress sketch

We’ve had the privilege of dressing brides for over 76 years, and to offer Alfred Angelo brides a wedding gown inspired by royalty and one that captures this historic moment is very exciting.

The wedding of the century, took place in London, England on April 29, 2011. Catherine Middleton married Prince William in a modern Royal ceremony.

The anticipation surrounding Catherine’s wedding dress reached fever pitch immediately preceding her arrival at Westminster Abbey. Catherine’s personal style has proven to be classic and refined. Her gown was nothing short of this, and one indicative of her character: strong yet feminine; revealing yet reverent; modern yet classic, but above all, regal. The gown has already been compared to another famous Princess, Grace Kelly’s, wedding gown.

Michele Piccione, owner and Chief Creative Officer of Alfred Angelo commented, “We’ve had the privilege of dressing brides for over 76 years, and to offer Alfred Angelo brides a wedding gown inspired by royalty and one that captures this historic moment is very exciting. Since my parents began the company in the 1930’s, we’ve dressed hundreds of thousands of brides in Alfred Angelo for their wedding day, not only in the US, but around the globe.”

Alfred Angelo’s royal-inspired wedding dress is an elegant reflection of Catherine Middleton’s personality. This unique variation illustrates Alfred Angelo’s signature combination of modern and traditional detailing.

Michael Shettel, VP of Design created the Alfred Angelo version and stated, “We know our brides will love the design and wear it feeling like princesses on their wedding day. It’s everything a bride wants from her bridal gown-elegance, beauty and affordability.”

The gown features a sheer, long-sleeved, lace-appliqué bodice with a dramatic Queen Anne neckline over a satin bodice with a sweetheart neckline. The grand pleated satin ball gown skirt has hand-placed floral lace medallions with a cascading back peplum, covered buttons, and cathedral train.

The gown is available in white and ivory, in sizes 0-30, in short, standard or extra length.

The gown retails for $999 USD, and will be available in all Alfred Angelo Signature stores, as well as select Alfred Angelo national and international retailers soon.

To get Catherine’s wedding day look before the official gown is in stores, brides can select from these Alfred Angelo styles: 1193, 811, 840, 847, and 848. To complement these gowns, add a cover-up jacket style: 1646, 1741, 2189, or 2193.
