Weichert Real Estate Affiliates (WREA) has added seven franchise sales directors to take the “Weichert Works” message to brokers in states from coast to coast. Currently, the franchise network has affiliates in 35 states. WREA is the franchise arm of Weichert, Realtors®, one of the nation’s largest privately owned providers of real estate and home ownership services. WREA was launched in January 2002 and was identified by Entrepreneur magazine early on (2005) as one of the fastest growing U.S. franchises.
“We have been expanding steadily year by year,” said WREA National Vice President of Business Development Kevin Hill. The additional sales directors, he said, are poised to offer opportunities to people who "qualify” to join the now 10-year-old Weichert® network. Directors will confer with brokers “who share the Weichert philosophy and are eager to develop a business model that works to increase and improve their own businesses as only a fully supportive franchise organization can do.”
The field Sales Directors and their 19 respective territories are: Nashville based Gabrielle Hanson, covering Tennessee and Kentucky; Minneapolis based Jim Pascale/Minnesota, the Dakotas, Iowa and West Wisconsin; Dallas, Texas based Bret Sauer/Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Louisiana; Montgomery, Alabama’s Jay Snowden II/Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and the Florida Panhandle; Karen Squires of Ft. Mill, South Carolina/the Carolinas and Virginia; Southern California based Carey Schutt/Southern California and Arizona. In addition to these specific assignments, George Barlow has been named to the position of Sales Director/National Special Projects, and is charged with developing franchise opportunities in various markets throughout the country from his home in Austin, Texas, and WREA headquarters in Morris Plains, N.J.
The newly named franchise sales people are all experienced real estate professionals with high profile backgrounds in the franchise business. This is in keeping with the Weichert hiring model for management personnel. It is commonly known that, from founder Jim Weichert to Weichert Affiliates President Martin J. Rueter and the entire management staff, the team is made up of people who have been in the field as realtors, brokers, office owners, managers and sales people.
