WellCare Health Plans, Inc. (NYSE: WCG) today announced that the WellCare Community Foundation has donated $10,000 to the Texas Disaster Relief Fund to support residents of West, Texas impacted by the West Fertilizer Company plant explosion on April 17, 2013.
”WellCare is committed to giving back to the communities we serve, and we appreciate the key role the fund is playing, along with support from community partners, in bringing relief to the residents of West who were devastated by this disaster,” said Frank Heyliger, WellCare’s Southwest Region President.

Rick Perry. “We appreciate WellCare stepping forward to assist Texans in this time of need. In West, and more recently in Granbury and Cleburne, we have seen friends, neighbors, and businesses come together to help console, rebuild, and renew. It is a great testament to the Texas character.”
