Fight Like Apes, Mansfield TYA and FOE all play London in November
London, UK (PRWEB UK) 8 November 2011
Werewolf Promotions announces London and Norwich shows with Fight Like Apes, Mansfield TYA and FOE. From November 23rd the promotions team at Werewolf will be hosting intimate shows in Islington’s The Old Queens Head, Hoxton’s The Old Blue Last and Norwich’s Art Centre.
Female French folk duo, Mansfield TYA, are fronted by Julia Lanoe of Sexy Sushi. They headline a free entry show at The Old Queens Head on November 23rd with support from local acts Silent Devices, Light Falls Forward and Sinead Coffey. This is the bands only UK performance of 2011 and should attract a lot of London’s French community.
FOE is the moniker for widely tipped next big thing Hannah Clark. Described “a sneering, brash amalgamation of PJ Harvey seduction, feisty attitude and scratched, skewed pop” (Clash) FOE will play a free entry show at The Old Blue Last on November 27th with a very special, secret headline act who are more accustomed to playing to 1,000’s rather than the 150 the venue can hold.
Fight Like Apes return to the UK on November 28 and 29. After a summer of shows at Glastonbury, Wireless and Reading, the Irish band labelled “a funny, clever slap of fun” (NME) head to Norwich Arts Centre on November 28 for their first ever show in the city. Support comes from Norwich’s own Fever Fever and also doubles as the bands single launch for upcoming release ‘Pins’. The tickets for this show cost £7.50 in advance and are available from UEA Tickets.
Fight Like Apes then play their final show of 2011 in the intimate surroundings of The Old Queens Head in Islington. Tickets are £10 in advance from See Tickets and are on sale now. Support on the night comes from hotly tipped London outfit Throwing Up and Welsh starlets Cut Ribbons.
