Located at the foot of the Hollywood Hills between Beverly Hills and Hollywood, West Hollywood is truly ‘Living Forward.’ Our style becomes the trends that influence and inspire. From the refined to the radical, and from the elegant to the outrageous.

The West Hollywood Marketing & Visitors Bureau in conjunction with the City of West Hollywood’s Film Office announced today that they are launching a new marketing initiative – Film West Hollywood – designed to promote filming in the city. By connecting location managers with West Hollywood’s venues, Film West Hollywood will make it easier and more convenient to choose West Hollywood for projects including feature length films, television series, music videos, still photography and commercials.

The centerpiece of the program is a website, http://www.filmwesthollywood.com, which highlights businesses interested in pursuing filming opportunities. More than 125 businesses have already signed up, including landmark hotels on The Sunset Strip, iconic restaurants, swanky nightclubs and retail establishments.

"We are excited about this new marketing campaign to promote businesses in West Hollywood as locations for filming. We have so many extraordinary and unique destinations that are great venues for filming. West Hollywood is truly the film industry’s ‘backlot!’," said West Hollywood Mayor John Heilman.

“West Hollywood has been used as a backdrop in television and film since the early days of cinema, and this new program will help ensure the city’s A-list status among location managers and directors,” said Brad Burlingame, President & CEO of the West Hollywood Marketing & Visitors Bureau. “Located at the foot of the Hollywood Hills between Beverly Hills and Hollywood, West Hollywood is truly ‘Living Forward.’ Our style becomes the trends that influence and inspire. From the refined to the radical, and from the elegant to the outrageous.”

The program is launching today among location managers with a special VIP tour of several top film locations. The tour will kick-off inside Pacific Design Center at the center’s two Wolfgang Puck restaurants – Spectra and Red Seven – and from there will showcase an assortment of other establishments.

In addition to promoting local businesses for filming, the Film West Hollywood initiative will also keep location managers informed of the latest incentives and programs launched by City of West Hollywood’s Film Office. For example, the City’s Film Office is expected to offer reduced filming fees for low impact film production later this summer.
