Cut-It-Out Communications, Inc. (http://www.cioediting.com), a Westchester public relations firm specializing in the incorporation of online activities in traditional PR campaigns, today announced it was designated by The New York Times as a Trusted Commenter.

The designation was based on the posting of the company’s daily blog, titled New York Times Leader (http://www.cioediting.com/wordpress), in the comments box of the online edition each morning. According to the Times, the award/ status is based on “an outstanding history of sharing great comments,” and has only been given to “a select group of readers.” It allows future comments on The New York Times site to be posted immediately without moderation as well as other new features to be provided in a subsequent launch.

Willy Gissen, President of Cut-It-Out Communications, said, “We focused our company blog on the lead story in The New York Times each morning partly because of the esteem we hold for the newspaper and its long tradition of journalistic excellence. To be honored by The New York Times in turn is somewhat of a humbling experience, and we will strive to continue to earn the honor with each day’s post.”

The blog provides a succinct analysis of the lead story in the upper right of the front page each morning. Mostly non-partisan, it hews to the left of center on issues such as helping the poor, protecting the environment and assisting the middle class.

Mr. Gissen also noted other company achievements. Cut-It-Out Communications has maintained a #1 Google ranking for the keyword “Westchester County public relations” since September 2008 despite the highly competitive nature of the field. He also writes a monthly column on public relations and marketing for the Westchester County Business Journal.

Founded in 2003, Cut-It-Out Communications is a full-service public relations firm based in Hartsdale, New York. In addition to the blog, it offers a series of instructive articles about online activities and business development at http://www.cioediting.com/media_content_provision.asp. The company also maintains an active Twitter presence with the handle @wgissen.
