Until now, WhyAmIFat.org had operated a simple weight loss blog, occasionally kicking out fat loss strategy reports and helpful weight loss articles.
Today, the website takes weight loss to the next level by announcing its initiative to create a community of like-minded people, all with the goal of losing weight. The site's member platform hopes to be the framework by which people can find the right path and remain on it until goals are reached.
Webmaster Vincent DeStefano has been around the block when it comes to weight loss - programs, pills, exercises, trends, etc. Like a majority of people, he admits his own struggle with "excess" weight from time to time. Unlike most "systems" on the market these days, DeStefano seeks to depart from the typical "snake-oil", easy-fix promises by supplying a platform by which people can commit themselves to realistic, sustainable methods for permanent fat loss.
"I've observed weight loss consumers of all variety burn through myriad programs and products without result", states DeStefano. He continues, "The prevailing lack is not necessarily that the diet pill or nutritional program is wrong, per se, but that people don't know what to expect. They don't know how to balanced what they've learned within their extant lifestyle, or they quit prematurely becuase the program or supplement seemed to promise better results, sooner. I truly believe that people need a resource by which to sustain their level of patience, perseverance, and hope that weight loss is attainable for them."
In essence, WhyAmIFat.org has two primary goals - to inform members of effective weight loss methods and implements, and to provide ongoing context and balance to keep members on track. DeStefano wants to be the guy to provide the oft-missing platform for patience, perseverance, and hope, in additional to providing the most effective methods.
Adds DeStefano, "When you look at shows like 'The Biggest Loser', what is the overall theme? The answer is that people derive motivation from people - people who are truly present along the journey. People who will educate and motivate. People who care and continue caring. In a much less glitzy manner, WhyAmIFat.org strives for the very same".
